Blended Learning and Educational Technology to enhance Biology.

The theme is “Blended Learning and Educational Technology to enhance Biology”, a very current direction in education in both Canada and the USA. The various talks include the basics of educational technology (new pedagogical tools) as well as blended learning approaches (general) with specific biology examples. We feel this teaching symposium would be of broad interest for many conference participants. They will have a chance to learn about new teaching approaches in lab and “lecture “that they may adapt for their courses. We have proactively recruited several speakers who have confirmed interest in presenting on a variety of topics such as blended learning, emerging internet technologies, distance education and the “flipped” classroom. Some of the speakers are from Canada (CBA) and some speakers are from the USA
