Blended Learning and Educational Technology to enhance Biology

Irvine, Valerie [1].

Beyond Blended: Multi-Access and Connected Learning to Support Learner Engagement and Access.

Major shifts in education are pushing instructors to consider best ways to support their learners and to meet them where they are at. Unfortunately, traditional structures often still exist to serve as barriers for change. In this session, evidence is presented to challenge why we have those traditional structures and strategies are shared to support truly learner-centred education. We will discuss multi-access learning, personalization, openness, connected learning, and assessment for learning.
