PlantingScience: Inspiring Students through Online Mentoring.

Join us to learn more about the PlantingScience learning community. Since 2005, mentors from 14 professional societies have come together to inspire interest in science, working with a total of over 14,000 students on student-generated science investigations. See how volunteer scientist mentors are inspiring student interest in botany and science for a small weekly time commitment without leaving their own offices. Discuss best practices for online mentoring, and how mentors can make the biggest impacts on student learning and motivation. Find out how you can join the mentoring team and make a difference in the lives of students around the world, or how you can take advantage of the free PlantingScience program in your own school. Scientists, students, secondary school teachers and current PlantingScience mentors are all welcome to join the discussion.
