New Frontiers in RNA Analysis.

RNA is historically known for its involvement in translation of genetic information into proteins. However, the past few years have seen a flourishing of NGS technologies allowing transcriptome analysis never possible before, providing an understanding of alternative gene spliced transcripts, post-transcriptional modifications, gene fusion, single nucleotide polymorphisms, and changes in gene expression. This has led to the discovery of many new classes, including small and large non-coding RNAs with novel regulatory functions. This workshop will present a wide scope of analytical tools for RNA, focusing on the latest innovations seen in NGS.
